Gunna released his debut mixtape, <i>Drip Season</i>, on Young Thug's YSL label, and the influence shows: The Atlanta MC fills his bars with smart lines, supple melodies and unmistakably precise rhythmic cadences. On "Against Me", he quick-raps about stacking riches as hi-hats skitter behind him, while "Stay Focused" leans toward Trey Songz-style R&B, but on "Cop Me a Foreign" (which features Thugger himself), he synthesises the two, the duo playing off each other with delirious delight.
