<i>You Never Walk Alone</i> is an expanded version of 2016’s <i>Wings</i> that supplements the album’s introspective-R&B and party-rap jams with four new tracks, including an extended take of the deep-house bop “Interlude: Wings” (retitled “Outro: Wings”). BTS’ versatility was already apparent on the original record, and it shines even brighter on the additions: “Spring Day” is melancholy, poetic synth-pop, while “Not Today” matches inspirational raps with hard-drilling beats, and “A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone” closes it out on a chill digi-soul tip.
