Two Door Cinema Club take the charging electro-pop of 2022 single “Lucky” back to its roots for this Apple Music Home Session. “I had originally written it acoustically so wanted to record it that way,” singer/guitarist Alex Trimble tells Apple Music. “That's how I generally write songs and loved getting these tracks down to tape. Solitude is great for creativity.” The other track here is a cover of The Beatles at their most gorgeously stripped back on “Blackbird”. “It's a beautiful, beautiful song,” says Trimble. “[I chose it for] its melody and guitar chords, its simplicity.”
