London singer-songwriter/producer George Riley describes this selection of tracks as “an eclectic mix for the wintertime”. And its lineup is fittingly diverse, spanning everything from A-list names (Alicia Keys, André 3000) to soft, hazy alt-rock, ambient sounds by UK artists including Klein and Whatever the Weather, smooth R&B (Floetry’s “Say Yes”) or Riley’s own “Lust”, the soft opening track to her 2023 EP <i>Un/limited Love</i>. It’s designed as much to help wind you down as help pick you up (see the electropop of Oklou’s “God’s Chariots”, for example, or John Glacier’s SURF GANG-featuring “Wait 4 Me”). As Riley puts it, it’s “a moment to chill, reflect and regroup”.
