Autumn! was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but has spent his prolific career eschewing his home state’s sound in favour of the Auto-Tune-heavy, dreamy world of pluggnb. On 2025’s <i>B2MR</i>, he accents narcotised keyboard gurgles with trap-inspired hi-hats and vocals that land somewhere between Lil B and Popstar Benny. He’s unafraid to dive into his diva bag, flexing some R&B flows on tracks like “Brainrot!”, using Auto-Tune to flex and stretch his voice into extraterrestrial planes. In this sense, he’s a descendent of Atlanta artistes like Young Thug and Playboi Carti, using his vocal performances as much as an instrument as a vehicle to deliver rich and audacious lyrical ideas.
