If simply comparing album titles and cover art, not much has changed for the duo of Homixide Beno and Homixide Meechie, collectively known as Homixide Gang, since they released <i>Homixide Lifestyle</i> in 2022. Don’t be fooled, though—plenty is different for the Opium-affiliated artists since that project helped introduce them to fans of the Playboi Carti extended universe. They dropped two projects in 2023 and another in 2024, all paving the way for their 2025 epic, the 25-song <i>Homixide Lifestyle 2</i>. There’s plenty of new ideas unearthed on this effort: Take the way they distance themselves from rage rap on the triumphant, playful Pi’erre Bourne-produced “FREE AGENTS” and the slowed-down narcotised triumph of “CALL ON ME”. Of course, “PC5” and “VILLAIN” find them moshing as hard as ever before.
