<i>We Wish You a Merry Christmas</i> finds Ray Conniff stretching out a bit from the usual festive album form. Unlike 1959's pop-oriented <i>Christmas With Conniff</i>, this LP focusses on extended medleys largely built from traditional carols, such as "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "We Three Kings of Orient Are". It's by no means a somber affair, however. The close harmonies of The Ray Conniff Singers and the bandleader's inventive easy-listening arrangements are as exquisite as ever.
