For their sixth album, Tegan and Sara reunite with Death Cab for Cutie's Chris Walla for a sharper, more electronic-focused record. Their respective writing styles are at their most polarised—Tegan writing taut ragers like “Northshore” and “The Ocean”, and Sara penning flinty anthems like “Arrow” and “Alligator Tears”—but they're still united by their incisive takes on emotional turmoil and the tightly wound nature of their diverse approaches.
