Singing pianist Anohni (then known as Antony Hegarty) conflates her fate with that of a doomed polar bear—and the increasingly precarious "natural" world—throughout this despairing yet ultimately uplifting experimental song cycle. After proclaiming "everything is new" over Nico Muhly's harmonically rich strings, Antony's retro warble warps and distorts in the disruptive title track.
