MCR’s last album before their 2013 break-up is a colourful, over-the-top pop-punk concept record laden with glam extravagance. The story chronicles a band of misfits called the Killjoys and their battles against evil forces, encompassing space-age power ballads (“Sing”), ramshackle ‘70s punk homages (“Vampire Money”) and even swooning New Wave (“Summertime”).
