“What I look most forward to in winter is that we dance harder to stay a little warmer,” Kenza says. “So the grooves and vibes during the coldest times give us the warmest of music.” The DJ himself should be applauded for having supplied a good many of the grooves and vibes he describes, having collaborated over the years with Mpho.Wav, Nobuhle, Msaki, Mthunzi, Zolani Mahola and then releasing his hit-packed solo project <i>Music In Colors</i> in 2025. Kenza made his Winter Warmers mix wholly reflective of his sound, curating a playlist full of his own productions, prioritising ones we can depend on, no matter the season. “Most of the tracks are produced by me or are very similar to the sound I make,” he says. “This mix can be played and enjoyed at any time and anywhere, but winter will make it slap more!”
